Grafted joins Teamworks - The Operating System for Sports™

I’m proud to announce that Teamworks, the Operating System for Sports, has acquired Grafted. Teamworks has invested heavily in putting that athlete at the center of everything they do. Now with Grafted, the former athlete will be central to that mission.

With this acquisition, Teamworks will transition Grafted and NextPlay, another recently acquired alumni engagement platform, into Teamworks Communities. Together they will become a newly formed content-led collegiate alumni engagement product. I will lead the dedicated team focused on building this industry-leading product while driving integrations with the other nine best-in-class products within the Teamworks ecosystem.

This milestone would not be possible without our customers entrusting us with their hard-earned money, time, and creativity. These individuals deeply care about their student-athletes and outcomes post-collegiate athletics. I’m very excited about the possibilities this acquisition will allow us to accomplish with them.

It wasn’t too long ago I finished college basketball and drove to Chicago to interview for jobs. After 17 interviews and 17 no’s, real life had begun. This difficult transition from full-time collegiate athletics to full-time something else was eye-opening and ultimately the spark for creating Grafted a decade later.

With Teamworks, the resources have changed, but the mission remains the same. We’ll continue to help college athletic departments and teams build engaged alumni communities that rally around their athletes and provide support. In the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing some new feature releases that I’m very excited about!
